I wrote a short story for kids about kindness, using animals as characters. It's simple, but getting children to grasp deep values through storytelling is tricky. My neighbor, a self-published children’s author, told me about a children’s book marketing service that helped her reach parents through church newsletters and homeschooling groups. It made me realize that getting the message out is just as important as writing it.
